Since childhood, I have always loved to paint and create. I earned my Bachelors degree in Art Education at The Pennsylvania State University, and started my rewarding career in Elementary Teaching.    After years of teaching children and mentoring teachers, I had two children of my own.

The children I have taught have inspired my artwork.  The desire to incorporate the youthful energy of childhood leads to the bold and colorful forms I use in my pieces.  The cut tissue paper shapes are emphasized with wire and details are added with paper and buttons.  But it is the art’s simplicity that makes it functional on any wall, in any room, in any home.

It is out of concern for, not only my children, but all children that my artwork is composed of as many reused and recycled pieces as possible.  I incorporate recycled papers, wire, windows, buttons into my whimsical pieces.
